Sharing the wealth
Since no one seems to be able to build an import tool to get our stuff out of here on to another site and, tumblr’s export tool seems to not want to play with explicit blogs…I went searching for something to save my blogs

This downloaded my blog to my C drive in less than 5 minutes. I also backed up my vanilla blog and it saved it separately in it’s own folder
I’ve given this info out to a few people and it’s worked for all but one, the one that it didn’t work for now has an infected machine, this may or may not be associated with the software, I did a Malwarebytes scan on my laptop and turned up nothing so I know I’m safe, but what I’d recommend people do is use the version that isn’t the latest but is the one from November 7th (the one I used) which is this one TumblThree-v1.0.8.63-Application.zip Obviously everyone does this at their own risk.
For anyone losing the will with tumblr export.. I have used this tool and it exported not only my entire photo post history.. but also saved asks, text, conversations, writing and quotes… 5yrs of effort and over 30,000+ posts, 4,000 drafts.. basically an entire blog within 30 minutes!! Thankyou @minetodowith - he has the patience of a saint talking me through my blonde momemts trying to figure out the initial process.. hahaha.. we got there in the end, didn’t we? ;o)
